In 2004, Philip Morris’s Moorabbin factory in Melbourne underwent a major upgrade project that lasted three years. The project involved significant improvements to several key facilities, including cooling towers, green energy-saving measures, and the full automation and unmanned operation of cigarette manufacturing and packaging workshops. The factory upgrade was completed in 2007.
